In what proved to be the weirdest, creepiest blind art trading experience I’ve ever had - Heather made me a going away print!

All I knew about it was that she made a one-off collograph print specifically for me, printed in a way she’s knew I’d like. (The image on the left is the one she gave me, right image is a detail shot of what I’m working on)

When I saw it, I started flipping out and frantically started pulling up cell phone pics of the print I’m currently working on… prints that I’ve been pretty closed off about so far, and haven’t really showed anyone or talked to anyone about. Playing on registration systems, analyzing the process of printing, and being forced to focus on what’s not there rather than what is.

There’s one more thing that I’d like to resolve in these prints before I post them anywhere, but with talking to heather and with someone else online, I may have figured out what I need to do.

Anyways, I really, really love the print. It’s been an honor to work in the shop with you.
